Wasabi and Rare Roast Beef Toasts

 

Makes: 24

Ingredients

Blue Triangle 1 French bread stick, thinly sliced
Blue Triangle 1 tablespoon olive oil
Blue Triangle ⅓ cup mayonnaise
Blue Triangle 2-3 teaspoons wasabi paste
Blue Triangle 400g thinly sliced rare roast beef
Blue Triangle 16 watercress sprigs

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C.
  2. Brush bread slices with oil. Place in a single layer on an oven tray. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until lightly golden.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and wasabi.
  4. Just before serving, top each bread slice with a dollop of mayonnaise, a piece of beef and a watercress sprig.

 

Tips

 Roast your own piece of beef if liked – allow 15-20 minutes per 500g and bake in a hot oven, 200°C
